STERLING, VA — A pickup truck hit a cyclist in Sterling on Thursday morning, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Authorities are looking to speak with anyone who may have seen the crash.

Police have not identified the cyclist by name. The sheriff's office said he is an adult man who suffered life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle that struck the cyclist was a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck, police said.

The crash occurred around 6 a.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Old Ox Road and Rock Hill Road in Sterling. The truck was turned left on a green light and hit the cyclist who had entered the crosswalk, police said. Authorities said the cyclist did not have any lights.
