Deputies Hunt for Vehicle in Taxi Driver Robbery
Taxi driver robbed in the middle of an intersection, according to Loudoun County investigators. A similar car to the one pictured was used.

Investigators are hoping the public can help identify a car used during the armed robbery of a taxi driver, Loudon County Sheriff's Office announced on Thursday.
The cab driver was robbed Monday night in the area of the StoneRidge Apartments in Ashburn.
The driver was traveling in the area when another vehicle ran a stop sign, forcing him to stop to avoid a crash, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspect exited his vehicle in the intersection of Broad Vista Terrace and Cornerstone Square and began arguing with the victim.
The taxi driver pulled out his cell phone to take photos of the suspect and a fight ensued, according to investigators. The suspect pulled out a gun and took the victim's money and cell phone before getting back in his car and leaving the area.

The suspect vehicle, similar to the one pictured above, was described as a burgundy and possibly a newer model Lincoln or Chrysler sedan.
Police describe the suspect as a black male, approximately 220 pounds with an athletic build. He had short black hair and was wearing a black t-shirt.
