Driver Crashes Into Tree After Fleeing From Police In Loudoun
Authorities said a driver crashed into a tree after fleeing from state troopers in Loudoun County on Friday afternoon.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A driver crashed into a tree while trying to flee from state troopers in Loudoun County on Friday afternoon, Virginia State Police officials said.
A passenger in the driver's SUV suffered minor injuries in the crash. She received treatment at an area hospital.
Authorities have not identified the driver by name, but state troopers took him into custody after the crash. Virginia State Police officials said charges are pending.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, a state trooper tried to pull over a Honda SUV that was driving west on Route 7 near the Loudoun County Parkway. The driver of the Honda refused to stop and sped away, authorities said.
The state trooper chased the Honda before the SUV crashed into a tree near Lansdowne Boulevard and Riverpoint Drive.

The driver of the SUV was taken into custody while a female passenger was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries suffered in the crash.
