The Drowsy Chaperone comes to Loudoun
April 24-25 and May 1-2 The Drowsy Chaperone will be performed by the Pickwick Players.

The Pickwick Players present The Drowsy Chaperone on April 24 - 25 and May 1-2 at the Carver Center in Purcellville. The Drowsy Chaperone is a musical parody of American musical comedy of the 1920s. The story concerns a middle-aged, asocial musical theatre fan. As he plays the record of his favorite musical, the (fictional) 1928 hit The Drowsy Chaperone, the show comes to life onstage as he wryly comments on the music, story and actors. The Drowsy Chaperone opened on Broadway on 1 May 2006; it was nominated for multiple Broadway (2006) and London (2008) theatre awards, winning five Tony Awards and seven Drama Desk Awards. Tickets: Adults, $14/online and $15/door; Seniors and Children 12 and under, $11/online and $12/door; Groups of 10 or more, $10 each/advance purchase only. Performances are at 7:30 pm on April 24-25 and May 1-2, and at 1 pm on April 25th. For more information visitwww.thepickwickplayers.com or email pickwickdrowsy@gmail.com.
