Families that play together stay together

Come to the Ashburn Ice House for some great family fun!

Families that play together stay together, or at least that is how the saying goes. If you take some time to have fun together, it can reduce stress and tension among family members. Choose an activity everyone can enjoy, like ice skating.

Ice skating is not just an Olympic sport or something that hockey players do. The Ashburn Ice House is an indoor ice skating facility that offers year-round fun. (What is better during a hot summer day than going into an ice-cold rink and enjoying yourself for a few hours?)

Some information about ice skating:
1. Consider coming to the Ashburn Ice House this summer to try ice skating. It is fun and a great way to improve balance and core strength.
2. Experiencing stress? Ice skating is a type of exercise that helps reduce stress and promotes a feeling of well-being and relaxation.
3. Ice skating takes some practice. However, it is something everyone in your family ages 3 and up can do.

4. The Ashburn Ice House has daily public ice skating sessions and skates you can rent. If your family goes ice skating regularly, you can save some money by purchasing a pair of skates in our Pro-Shop.
5. Another added benefit of ice skating as a family is that the activity can help keep you all connected. Allow your kids to bring along friends and invite yours, too. Make it a group activity.
6. If you are new to ice skating, learning how to keep your balance and feel comfortable will take a little time. Remember to keep your hands in front of you and grab you knees if you feel like you are going to fall. Though it may be challenging at first, stick with it! Need some extra help, sign up for a Learn to Skate Class. The Ashburn Ice House has classes year round.
