Update: Victim Identified In Fatal Workplace Accident In Sterling
Authorities said a 27-year-old man died on Wednesday after he was struck by a marble slab that he was moving with his coworkers.

STERLING, VA — A 27-year-old man from Springfield died on Thursday in Sterling in a workplace accident, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The man was idenitifed as Serdar Yozgat.
Authorities said the accident occurred at a business in the 21500 of Atlantic Boulevard just after 4:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. They also noted that there is no indication of foul play.

Yozgat and other employees were moving marble slabs before the accident. Fire and rescue personnel were called to the scene after Yozgat was struck by one of the slabs.
Authorities have still not identified the exact business where the accident occurred.

Detectives with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office are working collaboratively with the Virginia Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Office of the Medical Examiner.
