STERLING, VA — A man was stabbed outside of the Tipicos Los Amigos restaurant in Sterling on Wednesday morning, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

The victim, who police only identified as a male, suffered serious injuries.

Investigators have not made any arrests in connection with the stabbing. They have also not provided any information about possible suspects.

Authorities believe the stabbing occurred around 2 a.m. on Wednesday outside the restaurant at 46950 Community Plaza in Sterling. The initial report described a fight, the sheriff's office said.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. First responders took him to an area hospital for treatment.
