Frozen Pig Head Found On Car In Loudoun: Police UPDATED

UPDATED: A resident found a frozen pig's head on the hood of a car in the parking lot of a Loudoun County apartment complex: LCSO.

CHANTILLY, VA—Here's a chilling sight you thankfully don't see every day. Or any day, for that matter. But residents of an apartment complex saw just that last Monday in the 25000 block of Loganshire Terrace, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Namely, a resident found a frozen pig's head on the hood of a car in the parking lot. Police were called and the owner of the car with the pig's head on it was found, as well. The owner, police say, had no idea how the pig's head wound up on the hood of the car.

Police later found that the pig's head was processed by a butcher in Pennsylvania who sells the heads to various businesses in the area. But pig heads sometimes are used in attempts to intimidate those of certain religious faiths, especially Muslims. Loudoun County police spokesman Kraig Troxell said Monday the victim is not Muslim but that police are continuing to investigate the incident.
