Gunshots Strike Multiple Occupied Homes In Ashburn: Police

ASHBURN, VA — Gunshots hit several homes in Ashburn on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. No injuries were reported in the shootings, according to police.

The first incident was reported to police on Tuesday afternoon. A resident on Sweetpine Lane called authorities after they noticed that their home was damaged by gunshots, according to the police report. The resident said they hear a loud noise around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Authorities said two gunshots struck the home. One round entered a bedroom, according to the sheriff's office.

Overnight on Tuesday, deputies responded to Belmont Ridge Road for reports of gunfire. Deputies did not find anything during their investigation, the sheriff's office said.

Around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies received another report of gunfire in the 43000 block of Stubble Corner Square. At that time, someone shot the front of four townhomes that face Ashburn Road, police said.

The sheriff's office believes that the gunshots came from a vehicle that was travelling on Ashburn Road.

Authorities said it was unclear if the reported gunfire on Wednesday morning was related to Tuesday's incidents.
