Hail & Hog Closes Doors For Good: Report

The Redskins-themed restaurant opened last year in One Loudoun, but the party's over for fans and diners.

ASHBURN, VA — A lavish eatery built to honor the Washington Redskins, just up the road from the NFL team's headquarters, has closed its doors forever, according to a media report. Hail & Hog Kitchen and Tap has shut down after just 15 months in operation, radio station WTOP reported Wednesday.

The two-story restaurant in the One Loudoun shopping center filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in January, but continued to operate, according to WTOP. With about 12,000 square feet, Hail & Hog featured a higher-end restaurant, a sports bar, and a radio and TV studio for Redskins broadcasts, WTOP said. Hail & Hog and One Loudoun are a short drive from Redskins Park, which is about two miles south on the Loudoun County Parkway.
