Head-On Crash Kills Gainesville Woman In Loudoun County
A Gainesville woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-car crash on Charles Town Pike (Route 9) near Hillsboro: LCSO.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A Gainesville woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-car crash on Charles Town Pike (Route 9) near Hillsboro, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The woman, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the other vehicle was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren't life threatening.
Shortly after 12:30 p.m., police were summoned to the scene at Route 9 and Manor View Lane. A preliminary investigation found that the victim, driving a 2003 Honda Civic, briefly ran off the road before over-correcting and slamming head-on into an oncoming 2009 Ford F250. Witnesses are urged to call police at 703-737-8308.
