High-Up Food Mart Customer Chased With Machete In Sterling: LCSO

A man was arrested after chasing a customer with a machete inside a convenience store in Sterling: Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

STERLING, VA—A man was arrested Monday afternoon after chasing a customer with a machete inside a convenience store in the 400 block of Enterprise Street, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Jose L. Fernandez, 49, of Sterling, was charged with brandishing a machete and public intoxication.

Around 4:30 p.m., police responded to the High-Up Foot Mart after the incident involving two men was reported. They found Fernandez outside the store, questioned and then arrested him. No word on what prompted the altercation.
