High-Speed Chase Ends With Crash In Ashburn: Police

A teenager with two juveniles in his vehicle led police on a chase at speeds of more than 100 mph before losing control and crashing: LCSO.

ASHBURN, VA—An adult teenager with two juveniles in his vehicle led police on a chase at speeds of more than 100 mph Monday night before losing control and crashing near Russell Branch Parkway, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Zunain Ovais, 19, of Sterling, was charged with felony eluding, reckless driving by speed and two counts of child endangerment.

Around 10 p.m., an officer running routine radar flagged a vehicle that already was topping 100 mph on Loudoun County Parkway. The officer hit his lights but the driver kept on going. He tried enter the exit ramp for Gloucester Parkway and then turn onto Russell Branch Parkway but lost control and hit a vehicle stopped at a traffic signal.

No injuries were reported. The juveniles were released to the custody of a parent.
