Human Remains Found In Sterling Stream: Sheriff's Office
Authorities are investigating after a person walking through the woods found human remains in a stream in Sterling on Tuesday evening.

STERLING, VA — Human remains were found in a stream in Sterling on Tuesday evening, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities have not been able to identify the remains. "The remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the gender, circumstances, and cause of death are under investigation," the sheriff's office said.
Around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a person walking through the woods near Brookfield Circle and Meadowland Lane spotted the remains in the stream. They contacted authorities, who took the remains to the Office of the Medical Examiner.
