Hurricane Florence Pet Fundraiser Set For Woofie's In Ashburn

A fundraiser to help pets adversely affected by Hurricane Florence will be held next month at Woofie's pet service in Ashburn.

ASHBURN, VA—Literally countless pets, primarily dogs and cats, were—and continue to be— adversely affected by Hurricane Florence. In addressing that fact, an Ashburn pet service, Woofie's, is holding a Halloween-themed fundraiser 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 13 in its headquarters at 44200 Waxpool Road.

It's called the Woofie's Halloween Pooch Costume Party, with the proceeds going to New Hanover County Animal Services in Wilmington, NC. For $20, folks can have their costumed pets photographed by Ellen Zangla Photography. Prizes will go to the top three photos, and judging will be based on Facebook voting after the event. Register in advance by sending email to woofiesandellen@gmail.com.
