Inmate Dies In Apparent Suicide At Loudoun Detention Center: Cops
An inmate at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center died on Friday night in an apparent suicide, according to authorities.
ASHBURN, VA — An inmate died on Friday night in an apparent suicide at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, according to authorities. The Loudoun County Sheriff's office did not release the name of the inmate, as they are attempting to notify the man's family.
Around 5 p.m. on Friday, members of the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office noticed the man was unresponsive in his cell as they conducted a security check, according to a news release. The deputies performed CPR and emergency medical personnel at the detention center provided additional lifesaving measures. After these measures were unsuccessful, the man was pronounced dead by rescue personnel.
The man was held in the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on domestic-related charges, according to the sheriff's office. He was brought to the detention center in January.

Authorities said the man was held in a single cell at the time of his death.
