INMED Announces New Executive Director

Meet Cecilia Capece, new Executive Director of the Family & Youth Opportunity Center ins Sterling

INMED Partnerships for Children is pleased to announce that Cecilia Capece has joined its Loudoun team as Executive Director of the Family & Youth Opportunity Center in Sterling, VA. Her primary role will focus on developing partnerships to expand INMED’s ability to serve low-income communities in Loudoun County to protect children from the immediate and irreversible harm of abuse, neglect, violence, homelessness and instability and to equip them for self-sufficiency and success.

Prior to joining INMED, Ms. Capece spent more than 20 years in development, communications and marketing with nonprofit organizations. Her work has included corporate fundraising for such programs as Education Alley, fostering student interest in STEM and aerospace activities via the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics, protecting endangered species through the National Wildlife Federation and producing entertainment industry-sponsored events for the Sundance Film Festival. Throughout her career, the common thread has been her keen ability to catalyze partnerships that inspire future generations.

INMED Partnerships for Children is an international humanitarian organization that has improved the lives of millions of children and families in 100+ countries for more than 30 years. Headquartered in Sterling, Virginia, INMED has served low-income communities in Loudoun since 1994 by providing child development and family education, after-school and academic enrichment, skills development and job readiness services, homelessness prevention and intervention programs, and intensive case management for families in crisis.
