Lace Up for Learning is excited to announce its second annual fundraiser to take place on Saturday, November 15, 2014. The event will benefit all participating Brambleton schools while promoting healthy living and encouraging school spirit. Over 1,000 participants are expected to gather at the Brambleton Town Center to attend.
Upon registration, each runner or walker designates a beneficiary school. The level of funds raised for each school depends upon the amount of participants from that school. The event is designed to benefit Legacy, Creighton’s Corner, and Moorefield Station Elementary Schools, Stone Hill Middle School, and Briar Woods and Rock Ridge High Schools. In addition, local private schools attended by Brambleton residents were invited to participate - The Boyd School and St. Theresa Catholic School are beneficiaries as well.
The event is open to all members of the community. Educators and administrators are encouraged to participate and will be provided with discounted registrations. As an added incentive, a $500 bonus will be offered to the school with the highest percentage of participants and volunteers. This school also receives a spirit trophy to display for the year. Last year’s winner of the trophy was Legacy Elementary.
