NORTHERN VIRGINIA — Good morning Northern Virginia and DC Patch readers! Today is Monday, July 25 and Patch has the traffic updates for you to know for your morning commute.

On the Roads

Around 6:52 a.m., there was a crash on Old Bridge Road near Antietam Road. The crash involved an overturned vehicle.

At 6:53 a.m., there was a crash on I-495 on the Beltway Inner Loop near Georgetown Pike.

At 7:13 a.m., the left lane of the Beltway Outer Loop on I-495 was blocked by debris near the Eisenhower Avenue Connector.

At 7:20 a.m., the left-center lane of I-66 eastbound was blocked by a crash just past the Manassas rest area.

At 7:23 a.m., there was a crash on Blue Ridge Mountain Road south of VA-7. Drivers should follow police direction.

At 7:30 a.m., there was a crash on northbound Mooreview Parkway at Wynridge Drive. Drivers should follow police direction past the crash.

On the Rails

On the Orange Line, the Minnesota Ave, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover and New Carrollton remain closed through Labor Day due to a summer platform improvement project. Local and express shuttles are available at Stadium-Armory.

At the Leeland Road VRE station, the main stairs and ramps were unavailable due to construction. Riders can still access the station through the south stairs.

Weather

It'll be hot again on Monday, with temperatures reaching up around 92 degrees. The heat index is expected to reach 100 degrees once again. Thunderstorms, some severe, are expected late this afternoon and into the evening.
