Leesburg Man Caught After Midnight Police Chase

He's charged with narcotics possession, driving on a suspended license and other counts, says the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

STERLING, VA — A Leesburg man is behind bars after leading Loudoun County sheriff's deputies on a vehicle chase up Route 7 after midnight Thursday, according to the sheriff's office. The chase began in Sterling and ended in the River Creek community near Leesburg, where the driver was apprehended.

Aaron C. Wiggins, 22, has been charged with narcotics possession, following too close, eluding, two counts of destruction of property, and driving on a suspended license, the sheriff's office said. At around midnight Thursday, sheriff's deputies pulled over a vehicle driven by Wiggins in the area of Denizen Plaza and Davenport Drive, off Route 7 west of the Cascades Parkway. But Wiggins fled the scene, and the deputies pursued him into the River Creek community.

They located Wiggins at a residence in the 43000 block of Crystal Lake Street and took him into custody, the sheriff's office said.
