Loudoun County Again Tops Nation's Wealthiest Areas

It's no surprise that DC suburbs continue to be among the wealthiest areas in the country, and Loudoun County tops the list.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA—The Census Bureau latest estimates show once again, DC suburbs dominate the list of the most affluent places in the United States, WTOP reports.

Independent cities and counties are included among these counties in the Census Bureau's latest estimates. Loudoun County again took the number one spot with a median income of $125,900.

Nearby, the City of Falls Church ranked second with a median income of $122,092 and Fairfax County came in third with $112,844. Arlington County was eighth with $104,354, Fairfax City 15th with $99,671 and Prince William County 16th with $99,206.
