ASHBURN, VA – Loudoun County announced Wednesday that it has financed 130 affordable housing units for adults aged 55 and older in the Chantilly/South Riding area.
In a press release, the county stated that 109 1-bedroom units and 21 2-bedroom units will soon be available in the five-story, smoke-free building formerly called the Avonlea Senior Apartments and now known as The Linden Senior Residences. The building also has a fitness center, business and multipurpose rooms, Wi-Fi and other services.
Housing units are available according to area median income (AMI). There are 89 units for households at 60 percent AMI, 34 units for households at 50 percent AMI and 7 units for households at 30 percent AMI. As of April 2025, the AMI was $114,750 for a single person in the county and $131,150 for a two-person household.
