Loudoun County Man Charged Over July 4 Homicide
A Chantilly man has been arrested over the July 4 homicide of a 33-year-old Centreville man.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA – A Chantilly man has been arrested in connection with a shooting death in Loudoun County on Saturday, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Joshua Soroko, 31, of Chantilly, was arrested on Saturday over the early morning shooting on the same day on the 4300 block of Helmsdale Terrace.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies arrived at the address at around 1:50 a.m. following reports of a shooting. They found Brandon Fadden, 33, of Centreville, dead at the scene.

Soroko is charged with involuntary manslaughter, shooting of a weapon inside an occupied dwelling and reckless handling of a firearm. He was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where he was held without bond.
According to the Virginia Court System website, Soroko is also facing charges of involuntary manslaughter in a vehicle.

Soroko appears to have a long history of charges in Loudoun County and Fairfax County, though almost all were dropped. He was convicted of selling marijuana in Fairfax in 2016 and of driving without a license in the same county in 2018.
