Loudoun County Public Schools: Alert for Tuesday Afternoon

After being closed on Monday due to icy conditions, the Loudoun County Public Schools opened on time Tuesday.

But the school system is notifying parents and students of possible changing weather this afternoon that could result in an early dismissal. Read: In Like A Lion: March Beginning With Wintry Blast.

Here’s the message from the school system:

Loudoun County Public Schools opened on time today. However, LCPS is monitoring the weather forecast regarding the possibility of freezing rain during the afternoon.

Depending on revisions to the forecast and what occurs, an early dismissal of classes and/or cancellation of after-school and/or evening activities could be made. If that is the case, further communication will be provided.
