Loudoun County Public Schools Decide On Classes For Feb. 23

The incoming snowstorm has prompted Loudoun County Public Schools to change how classes will operate on Monday, Feb. 23.

ASHBURN, VA — As rains shifts to snow, Loudoun County Public Schools has announced all buildings and administrative offices are closed on Monday, Feb. 23.

An announcement will be made by noon regarding afterschool activities the district website said Sunday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning until 10 a.m. Monday for Loudoun County. Heavy snow is expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches are forecast for the lower elevations. Northwest winds gusting around 30 to 45 mph overnight through Monday.

Weather-related closing and delay messages are sent division-wide notifying parents that schools will be closed or operating on a delay due to inclement weather.

Information will be posted on the LCPS website, and on the school division’s Facebook, X and Instagram feed (@LCPSOfficial).
