LCPS Schools Saw A 14% Increase In Violations Last Year: Report
Loudoun County public schools saw an increase in the number of student violations in the 2025-2026 school year.
ASHBURN, VA — Disciplinary violations in Loudoun County public schools rose 14 percent in the 2025-2026 school year, according to a new report.
According to Loudoun Now, at the meeting of the Loudoun County School Board’s Performance Monitoring Committee on Tuesday, participants were told that there were 26,243 student discipline violations during the 2025-26 school year, up from 23,021 in 2024-25. A total of 10,124 individual students had violations last year. In the 2024-2025 school year, that figure was 9,196.
Most of the violations were for creating safety concerns in some way. About a quarter related to bullying.

The outlet also reports that suspensions increased slightly, but the total number of students suspended dropped. Most of the suspensions were over safety concerns.
