Loudoun County Schools Make Weather Decision For Tuesday, Jan. 4
Loudoun County Public Schools will adjust their schedule for Tuesday, Jan. 4 after a winter storm dumped several inches of snow on the area.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County Public Schools are closed on Tuesday, Jan. 4 due to inclement weather, the school system announced.
The school system's administrative offices will open at 12 p.m. Employees who are eligible for telework are encouraged to work remotely.
The Loudoun County School Board's meeting will continue as scheduled at 6 p.m. All other evening activities on school campuses are cancelled.

On Monday, eastern parts of Loudoun County were placed under a winter storm warning by the National Weather Service. Western parts of the county were under a winter weather advisory.

Ashburn received 4 inches of snow on Monday, according to the National Weather Service. Purcellville received just over 2 inches.
The school system did not open as scheduled on Monday due to inclement winter weather. The school system originally planned to open on a 2-hour delay.
Throughout northern Virginia, road conditions were impacted by the storm. State police officials responded to hundreds of crashes and stranded motorists across the state.
