Loudoun Detectives Investigating 'Apparent Homicide' In Sterling

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating what it is describing as an "apparent homicide" that occurred in the Sterling area.

STERLING, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what it is describing as an "apparent homicide" in the Sterling area. The body of a man was found in the roadway along Emerald Point Terrace near Winding Road around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim has not been identified at this time, according to the sheriff's office. The LCSO is canvassing the area. Residents should expect a continued law enforcement presence in the community, the sheriff's office said Wednesday.
