Loudoun Plans Another Metro Work Session
With deadline looming on decision to participate in the Silver Line, board digs in on financing options.

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors have schedule another work session to discuss financing options for the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project's second phase beginning at 6 p.m., Monday, June 18, at the Loudoun County Government Center in Leesburg.
The board has until July 4 to opt out of the project. Otherwise, Loudoun will participate in the project. Phase two of the Metro project is estimated to $2.7 billion. If Loudoun participates, its 4.8 percent share of the project totals nearly $270 million, plus ongoing maintenance and operations costs.
The meeting of the Board’s Economic Development Committee, originally scheduled for June 18 has been rescheduled to 6 p.m. June 26.
