Loudoun Teacher Arrested For Improper Relationship With Student
A teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools was arrested Wednesday after having an improper relationship with a student, officials say.

ASHBURN, VA—A teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools was arrested Wednesday after "participating in an inapproprite (non-sexual) relationship with a child that caused or created a mental injury," according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Lindsay R. Mages, 28, of Aldie, charged with a misdemeanor, was "found to be a person responsible for the victim’s care and created or inflicted, threatened to create or inflict, or allowed to be created or inflicted upon the child a physical or mental injury by other than accidental means."
Police say the relationship with the student occurred between Jan. 1 and Aug. 30 of 2018 while Mages was a teacher at Discovery Elementary and Hillside Elementary, both in Ashburn. She's being held without bond.
