LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun United FC is hosting a hygiene drive at its match against Atlanta United II on Aug. 20. Donated items will be distributed to school pantries across Loudoun County to assist families in need.

The hygiene drive is a joint effort between the soccer team and the Loudoun Education Foundation, which launched the pantries in January 2022.

Since the launch earlier this year, the number of pantries has doubled. The pantries now offer food options, household staples, and hygiene items for students and families in need.

Doug Raftery is the executive business officer for Loudoun United FC. "We are honored to partner with Loudoun Education Foundation to support this essential cause,” Raftery said. “As we kick off our Back-to-School Bash, it is important to note the sacrifices many families have to make in order to make ends meet while sending their children to school. We’re doing our part in helping those in our own backyard.”
