Loudoun Valley II Neighborhood Recognized for Community Support
Neighborhood Named Charitable Community of the Year
Ashburn’s Loudoun Valley II neighborhood has been named Charitable Community of the Year for efforts ranging from food drives to benefit concerts to free space for student art shows.
“Our residents are energetic with a sincere desire to improve and impact the quality of life for those in the larger Loudoun community and beyond,” said Raj Kasaraneni, president of the HOA board.
Community outreach events included food drives to benefit Loudoun Hunger Relief and the Reston Interfaith Food Pantry, a holiday toy collection, a book drive to supplement school resources, and the annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand to raise awareness of childhood cancer research and cures.

The community also supports students and the arts in Loudoun County. Loudoun Valley II has provided free display space for a student art show and an opportunity for student musicians to perform in a neighborhood clubhouse. The community hosts an event for parents to meet school staff members before the start of the school year.
“Our community will continue to provide a growing amount of charitable assistance and volunteer outreach as our HOA grows and moves forward into the future,” Kasaraneni said. “We will continue to find ways for our residents to help those who are less fortunate and improve life for those beyond our neighborhood.”

The 2017 Charitable Community of the Year award was presented by The Washington Metro Chapter Community Associations Institute (WMCCAI) at its annual conference held March 10 at the Washington Convention Center. Rippy Gill, on-site manager, and Kasaraneni accepted the award for the community and also presented at a forum for award winners.
Cardinal Management Group, the property management company responsible for Loudoun Valley II, took home 5 awards in 2018. The WMCCAI Community Association of the Year competition recognizes the best in community association operations and governance.
