Loudoun Youth Shelter Worked Charged With Assault: Police
A former employee at the Loudoun County Youth Shelter has been arrested for assaulting a teenager at the facility last month: Police.

LEESBURG, VA—A former employee at the Loudoun County Youth Shelter assaulted a teenager at the facility late last month and prevented the victim from calling police, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. She was fired the next day and arrested Wednesday in West Virginia regarding the incident.
Melissa Rosario, 41, of Maryland, was charged with strangulation, assault and battery and preventing the victim from contacting law enforcement. Rosario was arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and is being held at the Eastern Regional Jail pending extradition to Virginia.
Police say on March 29, Rosario the teenager and prevented the teen from completing a 911 call to police. Staff members intervened and Rosario was removed from the shelter. She worked for Grafton Integrated Health Network, which operates the youth shelter, and was fired the next day.
