Man Accused Of Attempted Carjackings After Loudoun Crash: Police
A man from North Carolina was arrested on Saturday after police said he crashed a vehicle and tried to carjack three nearby drivers.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A North Carolina man tried to carjack three drivers after a crash in Round Hill on Saturday afternoon, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
One driver suffered suffered a minor injury during the attempted carjacking, authorities said. The suspect, who police identified as Collin Guilford, received treatment at an area hospital.
Guilford was arrested and is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. He is charged with three counts of carjacking, one count of resisting arrest, one count of grand larceny – auto, one count of assault, and one count of driving while intoxicated.

The incidents occurred around 4 p.m. on Saturday near Route 7 and Yellow Schoolhouse Road in Round Hill, police said.
Authorities said a driver, who they later identified as Guilford, spun out and crashed his vehicle into the median. He then tried to carjack three other vehicles, according to the sheriff's office. Police said Guilford assaulted one driver during a carjacking attempt.

The sheriff's office said Guilford then ran into a wooded area after the unsuccessful carjacking attempts. A deputy with the K-9 team found and arrested Guilford.
Police reported that Guilford resisted deputies and tried to assault them as they placed him into a patrol car. Investigators claimed that the vehicle Guilford crashed was stolen from Fairfax County.
