Man Robbed 3 Sterling Convenience Stores In 24 Hours: Police

A Herndon man was arrested on Monday after authorities said he robbed three convenience stores in Sterling within 24 hours.

STERLING, VA — One man robbed three convenience stores in Sterling on Sunday and Monday, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

No injuries were reported in the robberies, according to authorities.

Police identified the suspect as 26-year-old Brayams Andino-Linares. He is charged with three counts of robbery. Andino-Linares is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

If convicted of all charges, Andino-Linares could face up to 30 years in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.

The first robbery occurred around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday at the 7-Eleven in the 700 block of W. Church Road. Authorities said a man walked into the store, pulled out a knife, and demanded money from the register.

The second robbery occurred around 8:15 a.m. at the Sunoco station in the 700 block of W. Church Road. This time, the man walked into the store, pulled out a pair of scissors, and demanded money from the register.

The third robbery occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Monday at the Exxon station in the 45600 block of Falke Plaza. This time, the robber kept his hand in his pocket, acting as though he had a weapon. For the third time, he demanded money from the register and drove out of the area in a Toyota Camry.

Authorities found Andino-Linares at a home in the 700 block of W. Church Road on Monday, near the scenes of the first two robberies.
