Man Shot During Confrontation in Sterling: Police

Two unknown men, their faces covered by bandannas, got into an argument with the victim and one shot him: Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

STERLING, VA — A man was shot in the leg Monday night after being confronted by two men in the 100 block of Midland Avenue in the Sugarland Run Community, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Both suspects are described as black, and they were wearing dark clothing and bandannas over their faces.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that weren't life threatening.

Shortly before 10 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting, and witnesses said two unknown men approached the victim, after which an argument broke out and the suspects pulled out guns, with one of them shooting the victim.

Help from a Fairfax County Police helicopter didn't find the suspects.
