STERLING, VA — A man was stabbed multiple times outside of a Sterling 7-Eleven on Sunday, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

The victim, a male, is in serious condition at an area hospital, according to authorities. The sheriff's office did not provide any information about the victim's age.

The suspect, 36-year-old William Addison, was arrested at the scene on Sunday. He is charged with aggravated malicious wounding and stabbing in commission of a felony. He is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

If convicted of both charges, Addision could spend the rest of his life in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.

The stabbing occurred around midnight on Sunday at the 7-Eleven 1800 Towncenter Plaza in Sterling. Deputies found Addison and the victim in front of the convenience store, according to the police report.

Addison was taken into custody, and the victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
