Masked Man Assaults Cop in Ashburn: Police
He previously had pointed a gun at a woman, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, and was caught after trying to flee on foot.
ASHBURN, VA — A masked man pointed a gun at a woman Friday in the 43000 block of Needmore Court and later assaulted a responding officer, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Thomas A. M. Afful, 20, was charged with assault and battery on law enforcement, misdemeanor possession with intent to distribute marijuana and obstruction of justice.
At an unspecified time, police responded to the scene and found a suspect nearby matching the description.

The suspect began to actively avoid an officer and refused to comply with orders before assaulting the cop and ultimately running away and throwing items as he fled.
The chase didn't last long.
