ASHBURN, VA — Authorities have named the three men who died in a head-on crash in Ashburn on Wednesday evening.

One drivver was identified as 56-year-old Iran K. Hinson of Las Vegas. Dejene Haye, a 51-year-old man from Silver Spring, was driving the taxi involved in the crash. A Brambleton resident, 66-year-old James Humphrey, was a passenger in Haye's taxi.

All three men died at the scene of the crash, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The crash occurred around 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Loudoun County Parkway and Shellhorn Road. The crash involved a 2023 Dodge Challenger and a 2023 Toyota Sienna taxi.

"Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of the Dodge was traveling northbound on Loudoun County Parkway when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median, and struck the Toyota Sienna minivan head-on," the sheriff's office said in a report. "Speed is believed to be a factor."

The driver of the Dodge and the two occupants of the taxi were pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.
