Missing Man Found Safe In Sterling: Police

An 82-year-old man missing since Friday was found safe Monday with the help of multiple rescue teams: Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

STERLING, VA—An 82-year-old man missing since Friday was found safe Monday morning with the help of multiple rescue teams, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Noah C. Brechbiel was found on a trail in a wooded area of Claude Moore Park, 21544 Old Vestal's Gap Road.

When he was reported missing he was said to have possible cognitive impairment. Brechbiel hadn't been seen since 5 p.m. Friday. Several residents reported having seen him at the park on Friday and again on Sunday.

Police used a drone and ATVs to facilitate the search, which ended with Brechbiel being taken to a local hospital for injuries that weren't life threatening.
