The Montessori Academy at Belmont Greene Holds Parenting Workshop

The Montessori Academy at Belmont Greene closes out their "Brilliant Parenting Life Hacks" workshop series this month on May 24th, 2018.

The term "Life Hack" refers to any skill, trick, or shortcut used to increase productivity and efficiency throughout your day-to-day life. Most of the time these methods are applied for smaller activities, such as figuring out how to save time cleaning the dishes or using egg cartons to store all your Christmas ornaments. But what if you could apply simple techniques to some of the most challenging aspects of life and see immediate results? The Montessori Academy at Belmont Greene has achieved this with their in-school “parenting life hacks” workshops and are continuing the series this month on May 24th at 4:30pm. The event will take place at their campus in Ashburn located at 20300 Bowfonds St. Ashburn, VA 20147 and will focus on discussing techniques and concepts that will strengthen any parent/child partnership and help moms and dads find more success (and joy) during the times they need it most.

Over the past two months, MAB held these workshops focusing one on “balancing responsibility and control” with your child, followed by a workshop on “speaking to your child”. On May 24th, the topic of discussion will revolve around “media and the young child”. This event is open to all parents and are asked to RSVP via this Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/events/227654394480825/. If you can’t make it to the event, don’t worry! Individual parent consultations are also available free of charge! Visit The Montessori Academy at Belmont Greene’s website, www.mabmontessori.com/contact, and schedule a tour today!

Head of School, Bart Theriot is excited to continue his monthly workshops and introduce the difference a Montessori education can bring to every parent. "Every family is different, but we still share many of the same goals for our children and the struggles that go along with them," Bart stated. "When it comes to parenting, sometimes a small adjustment at home can make a huge difference and even lay the foundation for future success."

Bart Theriot works alongside his mother, Beth Theriot, father, Lawrence Theriot, and wife, Jill Theriot, making MAB a unique family operation. Having been through Montessori education himself, he brings a unique and personal perspective which enhances their school culture unlike any other. Bart and his wife have four boys who attended the Montessori Academy at Belmont Greene and have provided him with firsthand experience (and a lot of practice) in successful parenting.

The Montessori Academy at Belmont Greene was founded in 2001 by Beth and Bart Theriot. They strive to maintain an authentic Montessori environment for all the students in their school. The school itself was personally designed by Beth to include areas specific for each age group, as well as an outdoor playground with a garden maintained by MAB's own elementary students.
