New American Pub Opening Next Month In Ashburn

City Tap, a restaurant known for serving up American pub fare and a variety of beers, will open Nov. 11 at One Loudoun in Ashburn.

ASHBURN, VA — City Tap, a neighborhood bar and restaurant known for its elevated American pub fare and dozens of draught beers, will open its first Virginia location next month at One Loudoun in Ashburn. The restaurant is planning a Nov. 11 soft opening and will offer a la carte dinner service beginning at 4 p.m.

City Tap is located at 20736 Exchange St., across from One Loudoun Downtown Plaza. The 8,000-square-foot restaurant formerly housed Hail & Hog, but will now feature an extensive bar area and dining room seating for 57, overlooking the restaurant's open kitchen. The space also is outfitted with 12 televisions and a private event room.

According to a release, the restaurant gives a nod to the American craft beer renaissance by displaying Prohibition-era murals throughout, which showcase people from all walks of life enjoying their suds.

If you're ready for a drink, City Tap will offer 40 draught lines and 30 selections of bottles and cans, showcasing a variety of breweries and styles. The menu features a wide array of selections ranging from dips to chicken and waffles to mussels to brick-oven pizza.

City Tap has nine other locations, two of which are located in Washington, D.C. Starting Nov. 11, the Ashburn location also will offer a limited late-night menu until 1 a.m., Thursday through Saturday. The bar will be open until 12 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday and until 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.

At a later date, City Tap will debut weekday lunch service beginning at 11:30 a.m. and weekend
brunch service from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
