NFL-Style Kids Combine June 24-25 In Ashburn
Sponsored in part by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, an NFL-style football combine will be held June 24-25 at Redskins Park.

ASHBURN, VA — Given all the reports over the past several years about football and the long-term damage it can do both physically and mentally, the following might not be welcome news to concerned parents with kids hankering for a shot at the sport. But opportunity beckons, and this one comes in the form of a free two-day training session at Redskins Park sponsored, in part, by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
It's the first annual Youth Fitness Camp, hosted by NFL Legends, a group of former players devoted both to promoting the sport and also providing counsel and resources to fellow former players. It'll be held 9:30 a.m-1 p.m. June 24, and 9:30 a.m.-2 p..m. June 25. It's open for 500 boys and girls ages 6-17.

It's a pro football style combine, which means players will go through various drills just as NFL hopefuls do every winter in Indianapolis before the draft. There will be physical tests and drills "intended to help determine a player's speed, quickness, strength and agility as well as demonstrate their ability in one-on-one competition."
To register, click here. All participants will receive a NFL Legends certification letter and the winning competition results will be posted on the NFL Legends Experience website. The camps are open to Loudoun residents ONLY. The registration will be open until 500 applications are received.
