Overdue Library Books? Feed Loudoun County
If you're facing fines for overdue books checked out at Loudoun County libraries, just grab a can of green beans and donate,

ASHBURN, VA — If have an overdue book at a Loudoun County public library, don't sweat pending fines. Just grab a can of green beans or something and take it to your area branch — along with the overdue book, of course. The Loudoun County Public Library System is launching its first "Food for Fines" program May 1-7.
It's a simple deal, and it will avoid you having to pay overdue fines. For each unopened, unexpired non-perishable food item donated, one dollar in late fees will be waived by the library. The donations will be given to Loudoun Hunger Relief for distribution to area residents.
