BRAMBLETON, VA — Customers have been lining up to feast on Paris Baguette's cronuts, sweet bread, croissants and more delicacies during the opening of its first Loudoun County location.

The location is open at Bram Quarter (23710 Schooler Plaza, Ashburn, VA) in the Brambleton neighborhood. It is owned by Yulia Kook and her brother-in-law Joe Kook, who both live in Loudoun County.

Joe Kook is a former personal trainer-turned-Starbucks barista who was looking for a career change. He teamed up with his sister-in-law, who paused work for the IT industry after having a son.

Yulia Kook told Patch they had been looking to open since 2022. They originally planned to open first in Gainesville but found the Brambleton location. They are now planning to open another location in Gainesville soon.

"Our neighbors are super excited because there are no cafés around here," said Kook. "We just like the vibe here."

Kook sees lots of potential for customers, given Paris Baguette's location next to Loudoun County Parkway and plenty of existing and future residential. But she was surprised when opening day brought lines of customers.

"Lines all the way down to the door — to be honest, I didn't expect it," said Kook.

She says Paris Baguette is a Korean bakery with French inspiration. The business specializes in pastries, sandwiches and coffee. Some of the favorites are the croissants, Korean-style sweet bread, doughnuts, cakes made with fresh cream and Lavazza coffee.
