Pedestrian Killed By 2 Cars In Sterling; Mercedes Leaves Scene
A pedestrian was struck and killed early Sunday by two vehicles on Route 7 in Sterling. One of the drivers, in a Mercedes, fled the scene.
STERLING, VA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by two vehicles in the westbound lanes of Route 7 in the Dranesville Road area of Sterling early Sunday morning. One of the drivers remained on the scene. The second driver fled the scene in a dark-colored Mercedes Benz sedan, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
The man, who was struck around 2:40 a.m. Sunday, was reportedly attempting to cross Route 7 and ran across the roadway, the sheriff's office said. The adult male victim, whose name has not been released pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
The crash remains under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information regarding the Mercedes Benz sedan and who has not already spoken to law enforcement is asked to contact Investigator M. Lotz at 703-777-1021.
