Pedestrian Killed In Loudoun Crash On Thursday Morning: Police

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian in the Chantilly area of Loudoun County on Thursday morning, authorities said.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office has only identified the pedestrian as "an adult male." Police officials said they have not released his name as they work to notify his family.

No criminal charges have been announced in connection with the crash. Authorities have not publicly identified the driver.

The crash occurred around 5:46 a.m. on Thursday near Route 50 and Pleasant Valley Road. First responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Authorities noted that the driver stayed at the scene after the crash.
