Piece of Glass Used In Alleged Attack On Man In Sterling: Police

Police charge suspect with malicious wounding and attempted malicious wounding.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County Sheriff deputies responded to an incident early Friday morning in the Sterling area where a man told police he was assaulted with a piece of glass by a man who was known to him. The suspect also attempted to assault the victim’s girlfriend.

The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said. The sheriff's office charged Donald J. Thomas, 25, of Sterling with malicious wounding and attempted malicious wounding and is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.

The incident occurred at around 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 22 in the 20900 block of Davenport Drive, near the Regal Countryside Cinema.
