Police: Bank Robbery in Sterling Monday Afternoon

Suspect wore a ski mask in robbery at Washington First Bank, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

A masked bank robber held up a teller at the WashingtonFirst Bank at Cedar Lake Plaza in Sterling, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, the suspect entered the bank. He implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The man left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Deputies describe the suspect as a black male in his mid-twenties to early thirties, 5’10” tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black ski mask, a button up jean jacket with a white undershirt and black pants.
