Police: Charges Pending Against Youths Who Crashed Vehicle

Driver training vehicle found abandoned Thursday morning at Potomac Falls High School: Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Loudoun County police are investigating whether students at Potomac Falls High School took a driver training vehicle on a joyride Wednesday night.

The police have identified seven students at the high school, two of whom are juveniles, as being involved in the incident, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said Friday. Charges are pending in the case.

Sheriff’s deputies found the abandoned vehicle at 6:08 a.m. Thursday at the high school, in the 46400 block of Algonkian Parkway in Sterling, according to the sheriff’s office. The vehicle had been crashed into a tree.

They determined that it had been taken from Potomac Falls during the overnight hours, the sheriff’s office said.
